Dr. Bentivegna
Dr. Bentivegna is an ophthalmologist fluent in both English and Spanish. She completed medical school and her initial ophthalmology residency training in Argentina, where she was elected Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. She later moved to the United States, obtained U.S. medical certification, and completed a second ophthalmology residency at Saint Louis University Hospital.
During her training at Saint Louis University, Dr. Bentivegna was an active member of the Diversity Committee, contributing to initiatives that promote inclusion and equity in medical education. She has authored multiple research publications and remains an active contributor to the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s clinical education programs.
Dr. Bentivegna is a member of both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Argentine Council of Ophthalmology. Her clinical interests include eyelid surgery for droopy or malpositioned eyelids, both functional and cosmetic, as well as cataract surgery.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Bentivegna enjoys exploring new coffee shops, traveling internationally, and learning from different cultures.
